'Random Store' ID Card Leads to Arrest for Unlicensed Driver

An Atoka Police officer arrested a driver Sunday evening on charges of failing to dim his headlights and operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license, following a traffic stop on Highway 69/75.

At approximately 9:13 P.M. on August 17, 2025, Officer Cheyenne Gilbert was stationary on Highway 69/75 when he observed a gray Honda Accord traveling northbound with its high beams activated, affecting oncoming traffic. Officer Gilbert initiated a traffic stop, and the vehicle pulled into a parking spot at the Pilot Travel Center.

Upon contact, the driver, identified as Tony Rosas, was informed of the reason for the stop and provided Officer Gilbert with an international identification card from Mexico and valid vehicle insurance. Rosas, through a translator app, admitted to purchasing the identification card at a random store in Mexico.
