David Lee Prince, age 66, a longtime Atoka, OK resident.

He was born on Tuesday, March 24, 1959, to Porterfield and Nelda Ruth (South) Prince, at Chickasha, OK.

David passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025 at Frisco, TX.

66 years, 5 months and 1 day.

He graduated from Durant High School with the class of 1977, then went on to attend SOSU where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Education.

David was a teacher/coach in Lawton, Apache and several schools in that area and owned and operated Billy Sims in Durant and Atoka for many years.

He married Melanie (Walker) on Wednesday, July 2nd, 1980 at Durant, OK. They celebrated over 44 years of marriage before her passing on January 25, 2025.

David enjoyed the bbq place, sitting and talking with customers, was a comedian at heart, a great story teller, would find anything to talk about, was the biggest jokester around but had a heart of gold. When he was younger, he was a dj and bouncer and enjoyed social settings. He was known as 'Big Daddy'.
