Roberta Faye (Set- tlemire) Mayo, age 73, a resident of Whitesboro, TX, and formerly of Atoka, OK, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Dallas, TX.

She was born on Mon -

day, May 12, 1952, in Blackjack, OK, to Lewis

Raymond and Clare Belle (Williams) Settlemire.

Roberta attended Harmony Grade School and graduated from Atoka High School. She later attended nurs- ing school at Grayson County College. Roberta worked as an EMT, a nurse at the Grayson County Jail, and in home health care, as taking care of people was her passion.

She married Wayne Loyd Mayo on Tuesday, December 23rd, 1969, at Harmony Baptist Church, and they enjoyed over 55 years of marriage. Roberta was of the Baptist faith.

Her hobbies included crocheting, needle work, traveling and seeing things, spending time in Bentley, and helping others.

Roberta is survived by her husband, Wayne Loyd Mayo, of the home in Whitesboro, TX; daughter Stacy Mayo of the home in Whitesboro, TX; and son Loyd Mayo of the home in Whitesboro, TX. She is also survived by her sisters, Joyce Mayo of Mustang, OK, and Charlotte Boley of Caney, OK, as well as special friends Nell Webb and Ogene Bridges, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Clare Belle (Williams) Settlemire; son Keith Mayo; grand daughter Cheyenne Mayo; sisters Merline Blankenship and Ethel Jean Davis; niece Shirley Ann Blankenship; and stepmother Joann Settlemire.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 20th, 2025, at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Atoka, Oklahoma, with Bro. Billy Callicoat officiating. Interment will follow at Bentley Cemetery in Bentley, Oklahoma.

Family night is scheduled for Friday, December 19th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
