Leah Rosaland Baker
Leah Rosaland Baker

Leah Rosaland Baker, 48, of Stringtown, Oklahoma, passed away on June 10, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Leah was born on September 19, 1977, in Northridge, California, to Juan Martinez and Julie Mae Nelson. She attended high school through homeschooling and spent some time working in nursing homes, caring for others. Leah had also worked as a cashier at 7-Eleven in Washington state.
Leah never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She loved being outdoors and found joy in the simple things in life. She enjoyed creating bead art, taking long drives with loud music playing, and sitting peacefully while watching the waves hit the lake. Leah’s best times, however, were spent with her family.
Leah is survived by her son, James Taylor Baker of Atoka, Oklahoma; her mother, Julie Mae Nelson; her father, Juan Martinez; her grandmother, Gladys Baker; her uncle, Gary Baker; her aunts, Susan Green, Carol Donley, Mary Allen, and Terri Tucker; as well as many cousins and other loved ones who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Grandpa Baker, and her Uncle Al.
A family-led memorial service will be held beginning at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the family home located at 194 South Bradford Drive, Atoka, Oklahoma.
Honorary pallbearers will be Juan Martinez, Gary Baker, and Tom Owens and Austin Harris.
My daughter's heart: To all I meet and see, no matter your status in this life. Tell me your stories, tell me your needs & I will show you how much you mean to me! Much love
