Brittany Diann Davis “Jo”, 37, of Durant, Oklahoma, passed away on August 20, 2026, in Durant. She was born on November 23, 1988, in Atoka, Oklahoma, to Ralph and Diann Brewster.
Brittany graduated from Tushka High School in 2007. She continued her education at Murray State College and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Panhandle State University.
Brittany devoted her career to caring for others as a registered nurse. She began in the ER and felt that was her true calling. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Brittany worked many long hours as a travel nurse in Oklahoma and Texas ERs. Most recently, she was invested in her work at Carrus Behavioral Health, working with young people. She loved it there and had a special relationship with her co-workers. Brittany passionately dedicated herself to bringing comfort and healing to her patients.
Brittany had a fun-loving and adventurous personality that always made her the life of any room. She was a kid at heart. She liked TikTok, shopping, vacations, and spending summer days boating and jet skiing at the lake. She enjoyed spending hours with friends and family reminiscing about good times and funny stories. Brittany loved her Yorkies, Abbie and Chumley, and considered them family, but most importantly, she cherished spending time with her precious son, Dax. She will be forever missed, remembered, and loved.
Brittany is survived by her son, Daxton Davis and his father, Davey Davis of Durant, Oklahoma; mother, Diann Hall of Tushka, Oklahoma; father, Ralph Thomas Brewster (Vickie) of Stringtown, Oklahoma; sister, Stephanie Self (James) of Eufaula, Oklahoma; brother, Toby Brewster (Jennie) of Idabel, Oklahoma; stepbrother, Ryan Hall (Lauren), along with their children, Barrett, Andrew, and Caroline, of Houston, Texas; nieces, Katelyn Echelle (Jakob) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Kyndal Self of Jacksonville, Florida; nephews, Cason Brewster (Shelby) and their child, Beau, of Idabel, Oklahoma, and Coy Brewster (Hannah) and their child, Kennady, of Idabel, Oklahoma; aunt and uncle, Gerald and Ann Eaves of Atoka, Oklahoma; and special uncle, Paul Silvers of Lane, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, David Hall; paternal grandparents, Leo and LouEllen Powell; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Geraldine Eaves; special aunt, Ginger Silvers; and her precious Yorkshires, Abbie and Chumley.
