BORN: She was born on Monday, April 29, 1940, to Charles Winston and Edith Frances (Sluder) Phillips, at Bokchito, OK.

PASSED AWAY: Dessie passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at her home in Caney, OK surrounded by her loved ones.

AGE: 85 years, 1 month and 14 days. EDUCATION: She attended Bokchito Public Schools and received her CNA certification from Kiamichi VoTech.

OCCUPATION: Dessie was a housewife and homemaker, she also worked at Colonial Manor for several years and worked 15 years at Atoka Truck Stop.

MARRIED: She married William Franklin Henry on Tuesday, June 11th, 1957 at Sherman, TX. They celebrated over 30 years of marriage before William's passing on September 21, 1987. Dessie continued to be married to the love of her life until the day she passed making over 68 years together.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Dessie was a member of Mt Carmel Baptist Church. She enjoyed, fishing, smoking and drinking coffee, camping, traveling (she has been in most states in the U.S.), loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and loved her 'dang' chickens and her grandson's horse.
